Everybody knows that NAME  affects a man’s character. We think that this is absolutely true with dogs. So we decided to conduct an investigation of our leo’s name. And here is the result of the study:

EREMEY  [jere’mej]  is an Old Russian name derived from Hebraic Jeremiah (meaning – “elevated by God”). Nowadays it is very rear among humans, but it used to be very popular in Old Russia. In the annals of Old Russian History you can find a story about a voivode (high-rank officer in Old Russia) Eremey Glebovich (XIII c.). The chronicles read that he was well known as a fearless warrior and died in a battle against the Tartars. We think he might look like a knight in the oil painting by the Great Russian artist V.Vasnetsov.

Name and Character:  "EREMEY "  has an acute mind and a determined nature. He steadfastly overcomes hardships and losses without looking for loopholes and workarounds. This strong personality always reaches his goals and succeeds in all undertakings.

 Strange as it might seem, but almost completely forgotten old fashioned name Eremey  has become very popular with the Russian dog owners nowadays. This heroic name is mostly given to big and strong breeds (with some exceptions, of course). One of Eremeys is well known to you – this is leonberger Eremey iz Poselka Sokol  (Eremey from Russia).
