2009-05-23 Russian Leonberger Club Speciality Show (Part 1)

On 22 May 2010 annual Speciality Show was held by the Russian Leonberger Club in Moscow. This year 74 dogs (according to the Catalogue data) entered 9 classes. Among them 31 male and 43 bitches. After the main rings 2 leonbergers (a male and a female) were awarded the title “Leonberger-2009” according to their personal show results in the course of the last year. They were: Zherom iz Galkina Gnezda (male) & Rua Soleil Klico de Shampagne (female).

The Show was judged by Guido Perosino (all adult classes) and Alexander Ivanov (babies and puppies). The show rounded up with awarding Best male and Best female. Sorry to say but the Best Dogs of the Show (BOB & BOS) happened to be both imported from other European countries: Leijonahovin Donna Diana (bitch imported from Finland) and Skjaergaardens Valentine Rua Soleil (male imported from Norway). Congratulations to the breeders and to the owners of the show-winners!

Veterans

The most outstanding leonbergers from the point of view of “genuine Russian” breeding (several generations of Russian ancestors in pedigree) were entering a veteran class. One of them is Susi (female), 04.03.01 – first Russian leonbetger- Ch.International, World Cup-2009 Class Winner (Sir: Solnechny Bair Dzhimmi; Dam: Taylor Macoy Grand– breeder – Karavaytseva G.; owner: Belotserkovskaya T.).One more dog of the Russian origin - Frederik iz Galkina

Gnezda (male) 09.03.02 – Ch.International and multi-CACIB (Sir: Zolotoy Fazar Clifford; Dam: Solnechny Bair Oda – breeder - Karavaytseva G; owner Kaskov B.) And finally, the oldest dog of the show - Adelgeida Berta (female), 27.12.2000 (Sir: Dagober iz Ryzhego Buketa, Dam: Gizelle - breeder Mongush M.; owner- Romanova N.)
