Hello Vladimir,
It's a wonderful thing that you are doing to honor our veterans. Unfortunately my sweet Cobie passed just a month short of her 11th birthday, in september. It was osteosarcoma which did her in.... I really miss her sweet smiling face, and was so thrilled that you had the two photos of her in your last issue.
Crystal is still with us, but did have a cancerous spleen removed this summer. She seems to be doing better now, and I just hope she makes it to her 10th birthday, which will be in March. Although she's not yet ten, would you like me to send a picture to you? She was my first Leo (Cobie was a rescue I got at the age of three) and Crystal holds a very special place in my heart. She is an LCA champion, and is a very lovely girl even in her elder years, with very little grey still.
Thanks again for honoring our older Leos the way you do- truly a labor of love!

Wow beautiful story 2. My OESD got a man to talk who had not spoken in 5 years
after his stroke. We were visiting a rehab center after my mom got sick when
visiting and I brought my Dudley to see her and after that many spoke to
Dudley after he sat next the man they asked me to come with him everyday and
I did for over a month while my mom was there. He traveled the floor free
from early morning to 9pm when I would leave to go home.
Gordon and Shaina both do service as well as therapy and it really hit home
because it is funny how they do know how to change and go into action. I
think dogs sense it and know how to work a room to comfort. Just my opinion.
Thanks for sharing it brought back such memories of my heart dog.

That is a great web site, I really enjoyed it and appreciate being able to keep looking in the future for any changes. My wife and I have two Leos, one of them the half brother of Mountain Lake's Apache Chief, who we've enjoyed meeting and playing with. Also, I am motivated to try to re-learn a little Russian. I learned a little in college, and can recognize some words, such as Леомания That's a good one, very good description of us.

My love for the Leonberger started in Moscow. I was working there in 1994. My free time was spent going to the Ptichy Rynok and looking at the animals. My first love was the Caucasian Sheepdog. Regrettably, his behavior was not as beautiful as his appearance. But I loved the look. When I returned to the US, I discovered the Leonberger. The resemblance was similar and the personality so much better. Hence, my love for the Leonberger. I hope your club does well and promotes and protects this beautiful breed.

Olga and Vladimir, I hope all is well on your side of the sphere. We're
doing well here in NH. Winter has been a really bummer for us. We like
winter like in Siberia and this year has been more like the tropics. We've
had a third the annual snow fall, very mild weather and lousy xc skiing. We
had to cancel our 11th annual Sno-cial last week for lack of snow and
unsafe ice conditions.
I'd love to see the therapy topic when complete. I haven't got any photos
of water rescue but you might want to touch base with Caroline Isberg here
in the states. She is writing a book about Leos and might be able to
assist you.
Your web site is fantastic as I always love to browse the site. Great
photos submitted for the contest and the morphing of a Leo to a Lion is a
classic.

We looked at your new Leonberger-page from Russia and it is a real unusual & great site !!!!!!!!!!
Every time when we get the new entries from Wilma in Holland there was the name Vladimir, who got the email also . . . . but I didn't know, who is Vladimir.
It's a long time ago, when we had our first litter and Europe was not the same like now. There was the border to pass two times to come to West-Berlin and we had to pay lots of money to go to the Berlin dog shows. Or when we visited the shows in Poznan and Szczecin in Poland is was every time a horror trip !!
But now the borders are open and nobody of the younger people knows which problems we had.

A big hello from Ireland. We met in Cluny, France at the French Leonberger
Club show........ we actually met in the hotel over breakfast and you gave
us fridge magnets and a dog magazine and a calendar. I saw that your dog Eremey was in the calendar and when I saw his kennel name I ran back into the hotel but you were gone to tell you that Boomer, who we had with us in France, is a son of Baltizar Is Poselka Sokol!! So I see that Eremey andZak are half brothers!!!! Eremey is one fabulous looking dog! That would make him an uncle to our boy Boomer!!!
Your site is really wonderful. Nothing similar in Russia. Well done. Continue please.

Здравствуйте Ольга и Владимир. Меня зовут Татьяна, я живу на Украине в городе Харькове. Около года назад заинтересовалась замечательной породой –Леонбергерами. Ваш прекрасный сайт стал самым веским и убедительным доводом в пользу этой породы. И вот мы взяли малыша у Наташи Романовой в питомнике Руа Солейл. Нашему Брюсу (по паспорту Besa me mucho) намедни стукнуло полгода. Мы с Вами немножко родственники, наш дедушка - Borg du Mont Kailasa - папа Вашего Еремея. А наш папа - Барклай из Галкина Гнезда. К сожалению, у нас на Украине это порода малоизвестна, питомников нет, да и леонбергеров, насколько я смогла выяснить, только двое в Киеве.
Восхищаюсь Вашим энтузиазмом в деле популяризации этой редкой у нас, но такой замечательной породы. Очень хотелось бы сделать что-то подобное и у нас, но боюсь, что не справлюсь. Для начала попробую сделать страничку или сайт для своего малыша. Мы конечно не можем с полным правом называться леонбергером России (по причине эмиграции в "ближнее зарубежье"), но всё таки наш Брюс родился русским и родители его имеют прописку в России. Так что если Вы сочтёте нас достойными, для занесения в базу данных по леонам, мы с удовольствием предоставим все необходимые документы и даже фотопортрет. Но, во всяком случае, мы, с Вашего разрешения, поучаствуем в фотоконкурсе. Ещё раз хочу выразить Вам благодарность за создание такого прекрасного во всех отношениях сайта.

Hello! What a lovely site you have created. Especially the Leonberger, the lion and the town of Leonberg with it's crest - very nice indeed!
This summer we went to Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland with 5 of our leos and our caravan. It was an adventure. We hoped to do Russia too at the same time, but then we didn't have visas for that in time to enter any shows.

I did receive all your e-mails, but I do not spend so much time anymore on
the computer as we still are rebuilding our farmhouse and we also have two
little kids who needs attention..... It all takes so much time....
But I checked the website and it looks very nice. You also have beautiful
very nice Eremey! If I have female - I would mate her with him!
We have since many many years a lot of snow here in Holland and the dogs
love it! Our Sam is now 6,5 years and Nino is 1,5 years, they are both
males, and it is going great. They really can't stay without each other. The
oldest is still the boss, and Nino thinks that is fine with him. I have sent
to your mail some pictures of our dogs in the snow.

Of course I remeber, I allways remember nice people=) Your Eremey is wonderfull and great - such big head, such good proportions!
I have been checking your website... -Finally=) It have been so exciting to go to a show in Russia, but I have to put that in hold, because my Tindra have now started her heat and she will be mated this time (its her first) Since Stockhol Tindra is now allso a Working leo, She was one of four (all breeders) who got the highist degree as Therapydog in Sweden ever, so now sahe working with me at a nursing home (Im a nurse) She works 3 days a week=) Im so happy. Even the first leo in Sweden who became Airforcedog was another female that I had.
My hopes is that I will have some puppies end of feb-09, but I hope that the offer still stands a head....
If every thing goes as plans, we are thinking of to go to WW-09 and the speciallty the day before....
